August 8 Canadian Collectors Congress: Ron wants to share some of the treasures from the ‘twenties, ‘thirties and ‘forties that he picked up at this year’s Canadian Collectors Congress, by
Perry Bradford, Hippolite Christian, Lillian Glinn, Edmond Hall, Richard M. Jones, Lazy Ade Monsbourgh, Frank Newton, Adrian Rollini, Willie Smith and Eddie South.

August 15 Guelph Jazz Festival: A preview of the Guelph Jazz Festival, which runs from September 5 to 9. Announced for the festival are Carla Bley, Anthony Braxton, Mark Dresser, Charlie Haden,
Myra Melford, Damien Nisenson, William Parker, Michael Snow, Marianne Trudel and Matt Wilson.

August 22 Jewels & Binoculars: The compositions of Bob Dylan interpreted by Michael Moore [alto saxophone, clarinet, bass clarinet, melodica, bells], Lindsey Horner [bass] and Michael Vatcher [percussion].

August 29 Pushing the Envelope: Recent releases of a more adventurous and exploratory nature by Francois Carrier,
Chicago Underground Trio, Nels Cline, Michel Dubeau,
Kahil El’Zabar, Satoko Fujii, Myra Melford, Zeena Parkins, Tom Rainey and Keith Tippett.
