LISTEN BEFORE YOU BUY: Recent jazz and blues releases.

We start with the beautiful collaboration between South African saxophonist
Sean Bergin and Brazilian guitarist/singer Rogerio Bicudo. Then on to two small groups, Clear Voyage and Diverse, followed by a sample of the upcoming concerts by the Lina Allemano Four [at the Black Sheep Inn on October 8]
and Kobo Town [at Le Petit Chicago on October 10].

On to the blues, with three American blues singers/guitarists [Eddie Campbell, Dennis Jones & Jimmy Johnson], followed by tenor saxophonists AJ Kluth and Ricky Sweum. Two examples of Canadian blues [Mumbo Jumbo Voodoo Combo and the late lamented Jeff Healey] before we leave in style with two great cuts from South African percussionist Louis Moholo-Moholo.
