July 6 Listen Before You Buy: Recent jazz releases with an emphasis on exploratory musicians and groups such as Ambush Party, Aperture Trio, Eastern Boundary, New Tricks, Paw Music, The Rent, Premier Roeies, Toca Loca and Vertical Squirrels.

July 13 Professor Longhair: The epitome of good-times New Orleans music;
the piano and vocals of Henry Roeland Byrd, better known as
Professor Longhair, in recordings from 1949 to 1978.

July 20 Nels Cline: Co-Host Jim Riel will present an overview of the diverse and exciting improvisation-focused recordings of guitarist
Nels Cline, who is better known for his work with Wilco.

July 27 Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis: The first of two programs on his 1958 “Cookbook” sessions with Shirley Scott, Jerome Richardson,
George Duvivier & Arthur Edgehill.

August 3 Listen Before You Buy: Recent jazz and blues releases, with an emphasis on jazz saxophonists and blues performers. Will include saxophonists Ernest Dawkins, Jean Derome, Steven Lugerner, Ken Peplowski, Jim Snidero & Walt Weiskopf and blues artists Rory Block, Rita Chiarelli, Clarence Johnson & Grana Louise.

August 10 Guelph Jazz Festival: A preview of the artists appearing at this unique jazz event between September 7 and September 11. Artists will include Jane Bunnett, Nicolas Caloia, Christine Duncan, Gerry Hemingway, Kidd Jordan, William Parker, Paul Plimley, The Rent, Henry Threadgill, Marianne Trudel, Trevor Watts and Veryan Weston.

August 17 Don Ellis: This brilliant trumpeter, composer and arranger achieved a lot in his short life [July 25, 1934 – December 17, 1978]. We’ll hear his recordings from 1960, 1961, 1966, 1967 and 1977.
