August 3 Listen Before You Buy: Recent jazz and blues releases, with an emphasis on jazz saxophonists and blues performers. Will include saxophonists Ernest Dawkins, Jean Derome, Steven Lugerner, Ken Peplowski, Jim Snidero & Walt Weiskopf and blues artists Rory Block, Rita Chiarelli, Clarence Johnson
& Grana Louise.

August 10 Guelph Jazz Festival: The A-to-Z of the artists appearing at this unique jazz event between September 7 and September 11. This program will include Jane Bunnett, Christine Duncan, Gerry Hemingway, William Parker, Paul Plimley, The Rent, Henry Threadgill, Marianne Trudel, Trevor Watts and Veryan Weston.

August 17 Don Ellis: This brilliant trumpeter, composer and arranger achieved a lot in his short life [July 25, 1934 – December 17, 1978]. We’ll hear his recordings from 1960, 1961, 1966, 1967 and 1977.

August 24 Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis: The second of two programs on his 1958 “Cookbook” sessions with Shirley Scott, Jerome Richardson, George Duvivier & Arthur Edgehill.

August 31 Listen Before You Buy: Recent jazz releases, with an emphasis on bassists, percussionists and vocalists. Will include
Laura Ainsworth, Bones & Tones, Bryan Carter, Katchie Cartwright,
Harris Eisenstadt, Barry Elmes, Robert Hurst,Donald Ray Johnson,
Lisa Kirchner, Beata Pater, Deborah Pearl, Mads Vinding and Dave Young.

September 7 September 7: Co-Host Ron Steeds presents jazz recorded on September 7 between 1936 and 1999. Will include Garland Wilson,
Slam Stewart, Leo Watson/Vic Dickenson, Billy Taylor, Phineas Newborn Jr., Grant Green, Pat Martino, Ornette Coleman, Pharoah Sanders, Bill Evans, Benny Wallace and Marilyn Crispell.

September 14 Bill Evans: Co-Host Jim Reil explores the extraordinary riches of the 12-CD box set Complete Riverside Recordings of Bill Evans, recently re-released at less than half the price of the first edition. Surely some of the greatest jazz piano music ever recorded.

September 21 Exotic Jazz: Co-Host Alnoor Allidina presents an evening of jazz from the Middle East and Northern Africa. We will hear from the likes of Rabih Abou-Khalil, Anouar Brahem and Lloyd Miller.

September 28 Jazzcraft: The 1978 & 1979 recordings made for the Danish Jazzcraft label by Benny Bailey, Teddy Edwards and Howard McGhee.
