June 5 Ottawa International Jazz Festival: The first of two programs featuring the
artists who will be appearing at the Ottawa International Jazz Festival between Thursday June 20 and Monday July 1 in the Great Canadian Jazz Series, Concerts Under the Stars Series, Options Jazz Lounge Series, Tartan Homes Signature Series and OLG Stage Series, introduced by Ron Sweetman.


June 12 Ottawa International Jazz Festival: The second of two programs featuring the
artists who will be appearing at the Ottawa International Jazz Festival between Thursday June 20 and Monday July 1 in the Improv Invitational Series, Studio Series, and OLG Late Night Shows Series, introduced by Ron Sweetman.


June 19 Ottawa Bluesfest: CKCU's blues guru John Tackaberry introduces his choices among
the many artists appearing at this year's Ottawa Bluesfest between July 4 and July 14.


June 26 Don Byas: Co-Host Jim Reil has prepared a show featuring the great tenor Don Byas in recordings from the 1940s and 1950s, as a leader and with the Count Basie Orchestra.


July 3 Canada Day Special: Recent releases by Canadian jazz and blues artists, selected by Ron Sweetman.

July 10   July 10: Jazz and blues recordings made over the years on July 10,
presented by Co-Host Ron Steeds.


July 17 Cliff Jackson: Ron Sweetman tells the story of the stride pianist Clifford “Cliff” Jackson [born on July 19, 1902] whose strength and innovative style caused other stride pianists to refer to him as “The Terror”.


July 24 Voices: The voices of jazz and blues singers Billy Boy Arnold, Rachel Chantal,
Arthur Big Boy Crudup, Kellylee Evans, Molly Holm, Lorraine Klaasen, Richard Lanham,
Cathrine Legardh, Sherri Roberts, Cecile McLorin Salvant, Svetlana Shmulyian &
Joan Watson-Jones and jazz instrumentalists Perry Beekman, Christina Braga,
Jeff Denson, & Johnny Summers, presented by Ron Sweetman.


July 31 Malcolm Braff: Co-Host Alnoor Allidina presents a program on contemporary Swiss pianist and composer Malcolm Braff. We will hear from his acoustic and electric trios,
and also feature his Indian classical / jazz experiments with French trumpeter Erik Truffaz.
