From 1923 we’ll hear Ethel Waters, the Charlie Straight Orchestra,
Edna Taylor, Midway Garden Orchestra and the Original Memphis Five.
From 1924, Jelly-Roll Morton, Ida Cox and Lovie Austin and her Blues Serenaders. From 1925 Trixie Smith and Jimmie O’Bryant’s Washboard Band.
From 1926 Preston Jackson and his Uptown Band and Blythe’s Washboard Ragamuffins.
From 1927, Jasper Taylor and his State Street Boys, Jeanette’s Synco Jazzers, Fletcher Henderson’s Orchestra, Bertha Henderson and the Louisiana Stompers.
From 1928 Charles Pierce’s Orchestra, Elzadie Robinson, Clarence Williams’ Orchestra, Richard Jones and his Jazz Wizards, concluding with the Windy Rhythm Kings from 1929.
