SWING IS IN THE AIR
Swing Is In The Air is on the air each Sunday afternoon between 4pm and 5.30pm. There is a group of hosts that rotate from week to week and each provides a different approach to the jazz they select.
Ralph Hopper is one of the hosts and aired a program focusing on guitar jazz on June 16. On June 30 he will host a program headlined as ‘The Coast to Coast Big Band Battle’ although it will be less a battle and more a contrast in styles. The program will begin with the Lorraine Desmarais Big Band and then move on to the NY v LA battle with the Mingus Big Band and the Chris Walden Big Band.
An entertaining 90 minutes of jazz every Sunday afternoon from 4pm on CKCU FM 93.1 in Ottawa. Always available on live streaming and at your convenience, On Demand, from the web site www.ckcufm.com
