BRITISH JAZZ: Three fine examples of British jazz. Firstly, from October 1984, the Keith Tippett Septet including Elton Dean, Mark Charig and Nick Evans. Then, from
January 2008, tenor saxophonist Evan Parker guesting with the French trio Marteau Rouge. Finally, a take-no-prisoners jam session from May 1972 including Tubby Hayes, Trevor Watts, Kenny Wheeler, Stan Tracey and Phil Seamen.

And a plug for Ellen McIlwaine, who will be appearing in The Ottawa Folk Festival which runs from August 21-23.
